What is Mandarin Chinese Lessons?
Mandarin Chinese lessons are one-on-one tutoring programs to master Mandarin (Putonghua) covering four aspects: Listening (Ting), Speaking (Shuo), Reading (Du), and Writing (Xie). The Common Mandarin Mistakes We See Most Often
In Mandarin, tones and characters mean a small slip can change the meaning entirely. Here are the five we meet most.
Ignoring tones
Why it happens
One syllable with different tones has different meanings.

We drill the four tones from the start, since ma can mean mother or horse depending on the tone.
Forgetting measure words
Why it happens
Mandarin needs a specific measure word between a number and a noun.

Mispronouncing pinyin q, x, zh, and c
Why it happens
These sounds have no exact match in Indonesian.
