Three experiences from participants in different cities. Their reviews describe how the coaching went; selection outcomes always rest with LPDP.
“I doubted a remote essay review could be as thorough as sitting side by side. My document was opened on a shared screen and commented on line by line, and after every session the revision notes were already sitting neatly in the file. Slowly my contribution essay and study plan began to read like one connected story.”

LPDP is a government scholarship under the Ministry of Finance for masters and doctoral study, with tracks such as Regular, Affirmation, and Targeted (track names can change per period, so always check lpdp.kemenkeu.go.id). Selection has three layers: Administrative Selection assesses document completeness and essay quality, the Scholastic Aptitude Test measures reasoning on a tightly timed computer test, and Substance Selection puts you before a panel that weighs your motivation, the maturity of your study plan, and your contribution commitment.
The contribution essay and study plan are your face before the administrative reviewers, and the same material will be dug into again at the substance interview. The two must stay consistent: the study plan you write should align with the contribution you promise, and both should align with your track record. For doctoral applicants, the research proposal becomes a third document that must speak within the same narrative.
The TBS is computer-based and tightly timed, covering verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and problem solving. Many applicants with strong academic backgrounds still struggle because the pacing differs from campus exams: each question demands a quick decision, and lingering on one number eats into the time reserved for the rest.
