Rules for conducting EduPoint private tutoring sessions
Last updated: June 15, 2026
These Terms & Code of Conduct govern how EduPoint private tutoring sessions are carried out, both face-to-face and online. By joining an EduPoint tutoring program, students and parents/guardians are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms below. Their purpose is to keep the learning process smooth, comfortable, and fair for everyone involved.
Terms for conducting tutoring sessions:
Lesson time is counted from when the tutor arrives at the location (for face-to-face sessions) or when the online session begins per the agreed schedule.
The student or parent/guardian must fill in and sign the attendance record at every session as proof that the session took place.
If the tutor arrives late, the lesson is extended by the length of the delay so the full duration is maintained.
A session ends when the agreed duration is over. Adding time beyond the package may incur an additional fee.
Parents/guardians may set additional learning rules based on the student's needs, as long as they do not conflict with EduPoint's terms.
Terms for permissions and rescheduling:
A session may be rescheduled with at least 1 (one) day notice before the scheduled lesson takes place.
A cancellation made less than 12 hours before the session still counts as 1 (one) session.
If a student feels the tutor is not a good fit, they may request an evaluation or tutor replacement through the EduPoint admin.
Terms regarding package validity:
A monthly package is valid for 30 days from the first session, with an additional grace period of up to 15 days to accommodate the student's schedule.
If lessons are paused for more than 45 days, the student must contact customer service so the package status remains active and does not expire.
Renewals are charged only the monthly lesson fee, with no re-registration cost.
Tutoring continues automatically unless cancelled before the remaining balance/sessions in the current package run out.
Terms for lesson fee payment:
Payment is made only via bank transfer or an official EduPoint office. Direct payment to the tutor is not permitted.
All lesson fees must be paid at the beginning of the period before sessions begin.
For the first payment only, settlement may be granted a grace period of up to 1 (one) day after the first session takes place.
Terms for cancellation and refunds:
The registration fee is non-refundable once the registration form has been submitted.
Stopping lessons requires at least 24 hours notice. Notice given less than 24 hours in advance still counts as 1 (one) session.
A mid-period cancellation is calculated based on the per-session rate already used, not the package price.
If lessons stop due to issues on the tutor’s side, the remaining balance will be refunded within a maximum of 30 days.
Actions that are prohibited within the program:
Students are prohibited from arranging private lessons directly with a tutor outside the EduPoint platform without the admin’s knowledge.
Making payments directly to a tutor is not permitted in any form.
Students who have stopped lessons are prohibited from contacting the tutor directly to resume lessons without the EduPoint admin’s approval.
