Rules for conducting EduPoint private tutoring sessions
Last updated: June 19, 2026
These Terms & Code of Conduct govern how EduPoint private tutoring sessions are carried out, both face-to-face and online. By joining an EduPoint tutoring program, students and parents/guardians are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms below. Their purpose is to keep the learning process smooth, comfortable, and fair for everyone involved.
Terms for conducting tutoring sessions:
Lesson time is counted from the moment the tutor has arrived at the place where teaching and learning takes place.
The student is required to fill in the attendance on the Attendance Sheet brought by the tutor at every session.
If the tutor forgets to bring the attendance sheet, the student is required to fill it in at the next session.
If the tutor arrives late, the lesson is still conducted for the full intended duration.
The lesson must end once the lesson duration is over.
Other rules regarding the teaching and learning activities may be set by the student or the student’s parents.
Terms for permissions and rescheduling:
A student may reschedule with notice given at least 1 (one) day before the face-to-face session.
If the student or parent does not give notice, or gives notice less than 12 hours before the session starts, the teaching and learning activity still counts as one session.
A student may request a tutor replacement through consultation with the institution.
Terms regarding package validity:
Lesson packages are monthly, valid for 30 days (1 month) counted from the first lesson session, with a 15-day grace period.
If an issue causes lessons to be postponed or delayed more than 45 days in one period, the student may notify customer service (CS) directly.
Renewing lessons the following month incurs no registration fee again (only the monthly lesson package fee).
Lessons are automatically renewed every month.
Terms for lesson fee payment:
Payment can be made through EduPoint’s official methods: bank transfer, Virtual Account, QRIS, e-wallets (GoPay/OVO/Dana/ShopeePay), credit/debit cards, and Alfamart and Indomaret retail outlets. Direct payment to the tutor is not permitted.
All lesson fees must be paid at the beginning of the period or package each month.
The initial payment may be deferred for a maximum of 1 (one) day after the first face-to-face session.
Terms for cancellation and refunds:
Once a tutor has been matched and assigned, the registration fee is recorded as non-refundable, at the amount listed in the pricelist. This fee covers the tutor-matching process and the initial administration of enrolment.
If a student wishes to stop lessons that are already running, the student or parent must notify the staff & tutor at least one day before the scheduled lesson begins, to avoid the tutor coming to the student’s home. If notice is given less than 12 hours before the lesson, it still counts as 1 (one) session.
If a student stops lessons before the lesson period ends, the sessions already conducted are charged at the non-package rate.
We provide a 30-day guarantee for the refund of the remaining monthly deposit, should lessons stop due to issues on the tutor’s side (the tutor never came to the lesson location at the scheduled time, or no replacement tutor was available). This is our headline commitment: any unused deposit stays safe.
Actions that are prohibited within the program:
Students are not permitted to arrange private lessons directly with a tutor without the institution’s knowledge.
Payment is made through EduPoint’s official methods (bank transfer, Virtual Account, QRIS, e-wallets, cards, and Alfamart/Indomaret), and is not permitted directly to the teacher.
Once lessons have stopped, the student is prohibited from contacting the teacher directly.
