What is Tahfidz Lessons?
Tahfidz lessons are a private tutoring program for memorizing the Al-Qur'an step by step, guided by a Hafidz (male) or Hafidzah (female) teacher who holds a sanad (an unbroken chain of transmission tracing back to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him). Every session uses the talaqqi method: the teacher recites first, the student listens and repeats, then presents the memorized portion directly. The program includes structured muraja'ah (revision of previously memorized portions) so that memorization is preserved and the quality of recitation is assured.

- Sabaq: daily new memorization submission
- Sabqi: muraja'ah of memorization from the last few days
- Mutqin per surah before proceeding

Tahfidz Journey Success Stories

“Shofi used to cry because memorizing was so hard. Now he is the one most eager to ask for lessons every day.”

Challenge
Much of the old memorization had been forgotten. An intensive Manzil strategy was needed to restore the old memorization while adding new portions simultaneously.
“My key has been 20 minutes of muraja'ah every morning after Fajr without missing a day. Having the ustazah who kept reminding me of the schedule truly kept me from giving up.”

How to Choose the Right Private Tahfidz Teacher for Your Child
Being a hafidz alone is not enough. The right private tahfidz teacher must have a verified sanad, strong tajwid mastery, experience with your child's age group, and a structured memorization method. This guide helps you evaluate each factor clearly.
Tahsin First or Tahfidz First? The Correct Order to Protect Your Child's Memorisation
Experienced Quran scholars and teachers agree: correct the recitation first, then begin memorisation. The reason is straightforward: errors that get memorised are far harder to fix than building the right foundation from the start.
Why Children Forget Their Qur'an Memorization and How to Preserve It with Muraja'ah
Memorization that was once fluent then fades is a common challenge in tahfidz programs. Consistent muraja'ah is a centuries-proven solution, and parents play a central role in making it work.
